THE SOUND OF WAR

THE SOUND OF WAR
Tears display on my face when I see readers falling
Simply because leaders are failing
They reap us nude and rape us without a gun
Huu! Dove does not bother about one’s burning field
As the flame is on the bird flies away
Dove is chanting incantation, thinking the pigeon
Does not understand, the pigeon understands
But does not bother itself
Our own leaders have eaten us
We have nothing to fall back on
We work on the road like a skeleton without flesh
In our skeletal body they offer us a cloth without our flesh
They make policy as if they are all unlettered
It is not one who fetches fire on bare hand
That will carry it to the farm

Lay off workers are the new songs of companies today
Unemployment market is on the increase
Everything on the higher side
18 thousand minimum wages  is caged
50 Naira charges on our transaction in the bank
The Tax they imposed on us is like holding a machete
Despite no Electrity to power Small scale biz
Increase in Electricity, is like a total rape
Yet in all of these epilepsy economy that becloud us
House of Assembly is still proposing to buy cars

Yet their Salaries and allowance can set the poor man free. House of rep, only representing their purse
One month salary and allowance of a senator or house of representathief can execute my business
in this hard time,  the governors have their salaries and allowance intact, none of them can sacrifice half of their salaries and allowance like President and his vice did, EXCEPT  for governor of kanu. RUBBISH. They are there for selfish reason!
Now, who is representing who in this endless game of corruption? At least, this is the right time for whosoever body of the government that created this enormous and outrageous salaries for this leader to seek for adjustment and bring their salaries and allowance to a reasonable amount. This will also reduce the over ambitious acts of many of them to serve us in disguise.
Nigerians are suffering and our leaders are enjoying like the gods demanding for blood. Let their salaries be reduced to a reasonable level, and then we shall agree to the fact that they are representing us. When the economy of the country was robust, these salaries were there, now when the economy of the country is already capsize, shouldn’t the salaries of these said politicians who are doing nothing than to seat and either play or fight like kids, go down  drastically.
