LETTER TO PROPHET OLADEJI HEZEKIAH

LETTER TO PROPHET OLADEJI HEZIKIAH
By Abiola OlaOluwa

In the heart of a desolate village
In the age when the moon smiles
When the stars grin
Shadows linger like a ghost
And despair clings to every stone
Your birth was realized

And your atmosphere received the grace
Even though all seemed a disgrace
When an unknown ailment surface
It engulfed your uniform for proper schooling
The wrinkle consequence got your thinking blurred
It got your eyes defocussed
I mean your leg disabled and crutches enable

From pillar to poll, your mother ran to the END
And Elegy song culturally sang, tears naturally flowed
Your dull eyes became a vibrant globe of life
A reflection of light that permeates your soul
In the dim light of a flickering LAMPPOST
One can sight the engravings of hardship etched upon your face
Deep lines trace a map of sorrow
Telling stories of shattered dreams and broken promises
Your hand seemed capable and strong
But trembled with the earthquakes of a soul won tinny by
the ceaseless struggle of existence
Your destiny hung on the neck of being a mechanic
Your success was attached to it like cloth
A mechanic boy with crutches
What an identification?

In Oshogbo your destiny was decided for Jesus
With the aim of rewriting the story you were born with
Fasting and prayers became your standing order
The disabled leg was enabled and crutches got crushed
I guessed that was the smell of a miracle
You decided to run with Christ Apostolic Church CAC
Yet Oladeji never satisfied

Alone in the CAC church one night in 1985
In the middle of intensified prayers and utterances
You saw Jesus alongside our own God General
Apostle Ayo Babalola
All seemed like a daylight vision
But it became a reality when OIL SPILLING DOWN FROM YOUR HEAD
And that birthed the veracity of your calling into this assignment

In the realms of grease and gears
Where engines hummed and tools rang cleared
Your eyes mirrored the universe itself
You gaze into the unseen
Perceiving the currents of destiny that eluded the ordinary Mortal gaze
Having realized this prophetic gift in you
People rushed at you, seeking to know God’s mind from you
Yet you were not ready to let go of the engine oil and motor spirit

God asked for your hands-up
You asked God for your handwork
Death stroke, your eyes lid unlocked
“GOD IF YOU CAN WAKE THESE DEAD TO LIFE, I WILL LEAVE EVERYTHING AND FOLLOW YOU”
This was your remark in sorrow
EDUMARE GBO, OKU JI
ISE BERE NI PEREWU

Erio Mountain came to reality
God worked tremendously in you
You are born different
And you are born great
Huuu! Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, the general Evangelist of CAC Worldwide
You have a very long list of stories

I celebrate the hands of God on you
Baba, keep, keeping on in faith
I dove my hat for your anointing
